  "Is this all there is?" you think to yourself as you sit in your booth facing the strip, trucks roaring by but your eyes glazed over and deep in thought in between bites of your 900-calorie Cheesy Gordita Crunch. Sure you wanted to have a family, but when you became an adult you wanted to have a bit of a life too. Go to college, travel, and have a little freedom and independence to explore and figure things out. Having two kids by your early 20's but a damper on those dreams. You love them of course, and they mean the world to you. The daddy you're not so sure of, but the pressure was there to get hitched so you went along with it. As you grab your Beefy Fritos Burrito, you face the realities of being a full-time mom while the hubby makes barely enough for the family to squeak by. God forbid there'd be an emergency because you don't know how you'd survive from that. You choke on the bits of Fritos in your burrito and turn to your Baja Blast Mountain Dew (because what other drink would you order here?) to wash it all down. You sigh and wonder how things could've turned out for you differently in La Grande. And as you reach your daily recommended calorie intake with just this one meal, you think to yourself: This is Purgatory. This is Taco Bell.
